Currency settings

Plans & billing · Last updated 16 July 2026

TLDTrack can show the money figures in your account in the currency you actually think in. If you are outside the UK, you do not have to do the pound-to-dollar arithmetic in your head every time you glance at a price. This page explains what the currency setting changes, which currencies are available, and where to switch it.

What it is

A display setting that decides which currency the figures shown around TLDTrack appear in. You can choose British Pounds, US Dollars or Euros, and the change applies across the app straight away.

The setting controls how amounts are displayed, converting from our base currency for readability. It is a presentation choice, not a change to how the product works, and the conversion uses indicative rates rather than a live market feed, so treat converted figures as a guide.

Why it matters

Seeing prices and totals in a familiar currency makes them easier to read at a glance and easier to relate to your own budgeting, especially if you are managing sites or clients from outside the UK.

Numbers you cannot read quickly are numbers you second-guess. Letting you pick the currency you live in removes a small but constant bit of friction, so a price or a total lands immediately instead of needing a mental conversion first.

Which currencies are available

There are three to choose from:

  • British Pound (£), the default.
  • US Dollar ($).
  • Euro (€).

If you never change it, everything stays in pounds. Pick one of the others and figures across the app are shown with that currency's symbol and converted amount.

What the setting changes

Choosing a currency changes the way monetary figures are shown to you throughout TLDTrack. It is a display preference: it affects how numbers appear, not what the product does. Because the amounts are converted for display using indicative rates, the pound figure remains the underlying reference, and converted values are there to make things easy to read rather than to quote to the penny.

A display preference, with one billing effect

Think of this as choosing the language your figures are shown in. It changes what you see on screen for readability. Before your first payment, choosing pounds or dollars here also sets the currency your subscription is billed in. Once you have paid, your billing currency stays the same whatever you choose here, and euros are never used for billing. To manage your subscription or payment, see managing your subscription.

How to change it

The currency lives in your account settings and takes effect the moment you save it. It lasts until you sign out; after that, figures show in pounds again.

  1. 1
    Open Settings.
  2. 2
Open the Currency tab and choose British Pound, US Dollar or Euro under Display currency.
  3. 3
Press Update currency. The change applies immediately, and figures across the app update to your chosen currency.

Switch back any time

Nothing about the choice is permanent. If you want to see the underlying pound figures again, set the currency back to British Pound and everything reverts. You can change it as often as you like.

Where to change it

Good to know

  • Three currencies are supported: British Pound (default), US Dollar and Euro.
  • The setting affects how figures are displayed, using indicative conversion rates.
  • The change applies across the app as soon as you save it, and lasts until you sign out.
  • You can switch back to pounds, or to any other option, whenever you want.
