01 · Trials

Trials & billing

Is there really a free trial?

Yes. Every paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial and your card is not charged for 7 days. If TLDTrack is not right for you, cancel anytime during the trial and you won't be charged.

What happens at the end of the trial?

You enter your card details when you start the trial, but nothing is charged for 7 days. If TLDTrack is right for you, do nothing: your subscription starts automatically on day 8. Not for you? Cancel anytime during the trial and you won't be charged a penny.

Can I change plans later?

Yes, upgrade or downgrade any time from your dashboard. The new plan applies straight away and the difference is prorated on your next invoice.

What if I exceed my website limit?

Your existing sites keep being monitored. To add a site beyond your plan's limit, you upgrade to a bigger plan first.

What happens if I run out of security scans?

Starter, Pro and Agency include a monthly monitoring credit pool (Starter 250, Pro 1,250, Agency 5,000) that covers security scans and the other credit-based scans. A security scan costs 2 credits, or 8 for a full deep scan. Need more? Buy a top-up pack of 100 credits for $32, 300 for $75, or 750 for $150, and purchased credits never expire.

Do you offer annual billing?

Not yet. Plans are billed monthly for now and you can cancel any time. Annual billing is on our roadmap.

Are there per-check or per-alert fees?

No. Always-on checks and email, push and channel alerts are included. What is metered: the number of websites you monitor, monitoring credits for scans and journey tests, visual checks, and SMS alerts, which use prepaid packs.

Do you offer enterprise / volume pricing?

Yes. For large teams and big site lists, get in touch and we will tailor a plan with custom data residency and dedicated support.

What are the plan limits?

Plans are based on the number of websites you monitor. The free plan covers 1 website plus 4 extra monitors. Starter ($11/month) supports up to 5 websites, Pro ($29/month) up to 25, and Agency ($89/month) up to 100. Starter, Pro and Agency include uptime, DNS, blacklist, SSL, email health, renewal tracking and financial reporting, plus monthly credits for scans. Pro adds up to 5 team members, priority support and the client report builder. Agency adds up to 20 team members, the Agency CRM, white-label reports in your own branding, and dedicated support. Need more than 100 websites? Contact us about Enterprise.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing section of your dashboard. Your account will remain active until the end of the current billing period - we don't charge cancellation fees and there's no minimum contract. We also offer a 7-day free trial on all paid plans.

02 · Checks

Monitoring & checks

What monitoring does TLDTrack include?

Paid plans include uptime monitoring (HTTP checks every 5 minutes, and every minute for the first hour of an outage), DNS change detection across 6 record types every 3 hours, SSL certificate expiry tracking, blacklist scanning against 12 DNSBL databases every 12 hours, email health scoring (SPF, DKIM and DMARC validation), and automated domain renewal alerts. The free plan covers uptime, SSL expiry and domain expiry. You get a single dashboard with traffic-light indicators showing the health of every domain at a glance.

What is blacklist monitoring and why does it matter?

Blacklist monitoring checks your domains against major DNS-based block lists and spam databases (such as Spamhaus, SURBL, and others). If a domain appears on a blacklist - whether due to previous misuse, a compromised email account, or spam activity - it can severely impact email deliverability and search rankings. This is especially critical for marketing and SEO agencies running client email campaigns. TLDTrack checks automatically every 12 hours and alerts you when a listing appears, so you can take action before it causes problems.

How does email health monitoring work?

TLDTrack validates SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records for every domain in your portfolio and produces an email health score (0-100). You can see at a glance which client domains have missing or misconfigured email authentication - the most common cause of marketing emails landing in spam. The domain detail page shows exactly what needs fixing, with actionable guidance on each record.

Do you integrate with WordPress or WHM?

Yes. Our free WordPress plugin uses a simple site key to connect client sites to TLDTrack, surfacing plugins, themes, core and PHP versions and admin users directly in your domain dashboard, with alerts when plugins or admin accounts change. WHM/cPanel integration lists the accounts on your server so you can import the ones you choose, and alerts you when an account passes 75% or 90% of its disk or bandwidth quota, is on course to run out of bandwidth, or is suspended.

03 · Clients

Agencies & clients

How do I add client domains?

Just enter the domain name and TLDTrack handles the rest. You can add domains individually or bulk import via CSV. No DNS changes or client-side installation needed.

Can my clients see their own dashboard?

Yes. Starter, Pro and Agency plans include a branded client portal, so your clients can view their own domain health data without seeing other clients' information.

Can I send clients a public status page?

Yes. Every site you monitor can have its own public status page on a link that needs no account. It shows a status banner with the real counts behind it, stat tiles, a needs-attention panel, a 90-day availability strip and one row per check with score bars and state chips, branded with your agency logo, colours and contact details. You choose which checks appear on each page, and you can put a password on it.

Can I send clients automated reports?

Yes. On Pro and Agency plans you build a named report: which clients receive it, which of their sites it covers, which of the 16 monitoring sections appear and in what order, and whether it goes out monthly on a day from 1 to 28 or weekly on a weekday, at an hour you pick in UTC. Recipients are the client's portal contacts plus up to 10 extra addresses. Agency plans white-label the email with your portal branding.

Do I need to install anything on client websites?

No. TLDTrack monitors externally. There is nothing to install, no DNS changes to make, and no code to add. You add your domains and choose which checks run on each one.

How does billing work for multiple clients?

You pay one subscription based on the total number of domains you manage. There are no per-client fees. The financial reporting feature helps you track costs per client for internal billing.

What registrars and hosting providers are supported?

TLDTrack works with any domain regardless of registrar or host - GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, 123 Reg, or any other provider. Everything is monitored from one dashboard.

What type of agencies is TLDTrack built for?

TLDTrack is built for any agency that manages domains on behalf of clients. That includes design agencies, branding studios, marketing agencies, SEO consultancies, web development shops, and digital agencies. If you manage client websites, email campaigns, or online presence - and need to keep track of the domains behind them - TLDTrack replaces your spreadsheets and scattered tools with a single dashboard.

Can I use the financial reports for accounting?

TLDTrack's financial reports are designed to support your management accounting and bookkeeping workflows. They show acquisition costs, renewal costs and valuations per domain and per client, and export to CSV for use in accounting software. AI-generated domain valuations are also available as a supplementary portfolio insight tool, but these are estimates and should be reviewed by a qualified accountant for formal financial reporting.

04 · Security

Security & data

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We are GDPR compliant and UK customers' data is stored in the UK (AWS eu-west-2 region). Enterprise customers can discuss custom data residency arrangements.

How long do you keep my monitoring history?

Change history, scan history and DNS logs are kept for the life of your account. Individual uptime checks are kept for 7 days and then as daily uptime figures, which drive the 90-day bars. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required for legal or accounting reasons (see our Privacy Policy).
