Accessibility monitoring

Know when a client site falls out of WCAG conformance

TLDTrack scans every client site against WCAG 2.2 AA using axe-core plus an AI reviewer, and alerts you when a page introduces a new accessibility issue, across your whole portfolio, in the same dashboard as your uptime, security, content and brand monitoring.

01 · Legal scope

Detection, not certification

TLDTrack detects and reports accessibility issues against WCAG 2.2 AA. Automated and AI checks cover the machine-verifiable and judgement-call criteria; some criteria, keyboard-trap testing, full screen-reader flow and cognitive load, need human testing. This is a strong first line of defence, not a legal certification. TLDTrack does not make a site "compliant", "accessible" or "ADA compliant".

02 · Why it matters

Why accessibility monitoring matters

A one-time audit is out of date the next time a client edits a page. Automated checks catch what drifts in between.

Issues creep in after launch

The risk is not the site you launched, it is the site three edits later, when a client adds an image with no alt text or a form field with no label.

Manual audits do not scale

Checking dozens of client pages by hand against WCAG is slow and quickly out of date. TLDTrack checks every page the same way, every time, and scores it.

One dashboard, whole portfolio

Accessibility sits alongside your uptime, DNS, security, content and brand monitoring, so you watch every client site from one place with one alert inbox.

A record of what changed

Every scan is scored and compared to a baseline, so you see the score trend over time and which issues are new since the baseline.

03 · Process

How it works

01

Add your sites

Point TLDTrack at any client site. No agent or plugin to install; scans run against the live page like a visitor, on any platform.

02

We scan every page

Two layers on every scan: the axe-core rules engine for machine-verifiable failures, plus an AI reviewer for the judgement calls rules cannot score.

03

We score against WCAG 2.2 AA

Each finding is mapped to the exact WCAG criterion, scored, and compared to a baseline so only new issues stand out.

04

You get alerted on new issues

When a page introduces a new issue you are alerted in your dashboard and inbox. Dismiss known items and track the score over time.

Accessibility monitoring lives in the same dashboard as your content, visual and brand monitoring.

04 · Checks

What we check

Machine-verifiable where axe-core can measure it, AI-judged where a person's eye is needed. Each finding maps to its WCAG 2.2 criterion.

Text alternatives

Images, icons and controls that carry meaning but have no alt text or label. WCAG 1.1.1.

Colour contrast

Text that fails the AA contrast ratio against its background, on any element. WCAG 1.4.3.

Form labels

Inputs, selects and buttons with no programmatic name for assistive tech. WCAG 3.3.2.

Page language

A missing or wrong lang attribute, so screen readers pick the wrong voice. WCAG 3.1.1.

Link purpose

Links like "click here" or "read more" that say nothing out of context. WCAG 2.4.4.

Heading structure

Skipped or out-of-order headings that break document navigation. WCAG 1.3.1.

ARIA and roles

Broken or invalid ARIA that reports the wrong thing to assistive tech. WCAG 4.1.2.

Focus visible

Interactive elements with no visible focus state for keyboard users. WCAG 2.4.7.

06 · Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does TLDTrack make my client sites compliant or accessible?

No, and no automated tool can. TLDTrack detects and reports accessibility issues against WCAG 2.2 AA. It covers the machine-verifiable and judgement-call criteria and is a strong first line of defence, but some criteria need human testing, and we do not certify a site as compliant, accessible or ADA compliant. Treat it as continuous detection that shows you what to fix.

Which standard do you scan against?

WCAG 2.2 at the AA level, which includes the 2.1 AA criteria, using the axe-core rules engine plus an AI reviewer. Each finding is mapped to the specific WCAG criterion it relates to.

How often does it scan?

You choose per domain: daily, weekly or monthly for ongoing monitoring, plus on-demand scans any time. Each scan is compared to a baseline so you are alerted when a page introduces a new issue.

Do I need to install anything on the client site?

No. Scans run from our infrastructure against the live page, like a visitor, so there is no agent or plugin to install and it works on any platform, WordPress, Shopify, custom or static.

Which plans include accessibility monitoring?

It is available on Starter and up. Every paid plan comes with a 7-day free trial, and your card is not charged until the trial ends.

Is this different from a one-time accessibility audit?

Yes. An audit is a snapshot; TLDTrack keeps checking. It re-scans on your schedule, keeps a score history for each site, and alerts you when a new issue appears, so the site stays watched between audits rather than drifting out of conformance unnoticed.
