Client report builder

Build the report once, it sends itself

Name a report, choose which clients receive it and which of their sites it covers, pick the sections and the order they appear in, then set the day and the hour it goes out. The client report builder is included on Pro and Agency plans.

01 · Setup

Seven things you set, then never again

A report is a saved template. Build as many as you need: a short monthly note for one client, a detailed weekly one for another.

Which clients

All of your clients, or a list you choose. The same report can serve one client or every client you have.

Which sites

All monitored sites, or specific ones. Because site scope is per report, one client can get separate emails for separate sites.

Which sections

16 sections are available, drawn from every monitoring pillar. Tick the ones this client should see and leave the rest off.

What order

Drag the chosen sections into the order you want, or move them with the arrow buttons. The email renders in exactly that order.

Your intro text

Up to 2,000 characters of your own writing at the top of the email, before any of the monitoring detail.

Who receives it

The client's portal contacts, plus up to 10 extra addresses you type in.

When it goes out

Monthly on a day from 1 to 28, or weekly on a weekday, each with an hour you choose. Times are UTC. There is no per-organisation timezone.

Reports only ever cover sites with monitoring enabled, so a client is never sent a section about a site you are not watching.

02 · Contents

16 sections, one per monitoring pillar

Everything TLDTrack checks can go in the report. Nothing has to.

Uptime and incidents
SSL and domain status
DNS changes
Security and blacklist
Content checks
Visual changes
SEO health
Accessibility
Compliance
Brand consistency
PageSpeed and Core Web Vitals
Services and heartbeats
Journey tests
Traffic
Issues caught
Upcoming renewals

03 · The email

Exceptions first, detail second

A report covering 30 sites is useless if it prints 30 identical pages. The email leads with what needs attention and keeps the rest to one line.

One row per site

Every site in the report gets a row with an uptime bar and an issue count. That is the whole portfolio at a glance, before any detail.

A plain clean line

Sites with nothing to report are accounted for in a single line: "N sites ran clean". They take no more room than that.

Detail cards only where needed

Sites needing attention get their own card: a day-by-day uptime strip for the period, score bars for SEO, accessibility and PageSpeed, Core Web Vitals chips, severity chips and the issues caught.

Month-on-month deltas

Headline stats carry a change against the previous period, shown when the previous period has data to compare against.

04 · Preview

See the real email before a client does

The builder has a preview pane beside the settings. It is not a mock-up of the email, it is the email.

Rendered with real data

Pick a client and the preview renders the real report using that client's real monitoring data, then re-renders as you change sections, order and intro text.

Send this preview to…

Type any address and the same render is emailed there, so you can read it in the inbox it will land in before the schedule ever fires.

05 · Branding

Your brand on Agency plans

One set of branding drives the client portal, the status pages and the report email, so a client sees the same agency in all three.

Portal branding, reused

Agency plans send the report with your portal branding: your logo, your colours, your background. No separate report theme to keep in step.

A separate email logo

Email clients cannot display SVG logos, so you can set a second logo just for email and keep the SVG everywhere else.

Pro plans

Pro plans send exactly the same report, laid out the same way, with TLDTrack styling.

06 · Domain pages

Start from a site, in one click

A domain's page can create a site report covering just that site. It lands in the builder with the sections and intro ready to adjust.

Know which reports cover a site

Every domain page lists the reports that include that site, so you can tell at a glance whether a client is already being told about it.

07 · Pricing

Simple, transparent pricing

Every paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Cancel during the trial and you won't be charged.

08 · Questions

Frequently asked questions

Which plans include the client report builder?

Pro and Agency plans. Both send the same report with the same sections and layout; Agency plans send it with your own branding, Pro plans send it with TLDTrack styling.

Can one client get more than one report?

Yes. Site scope is set per report, so you can build one report covering a client's main site and another covering their campaign sites, each on its own schedule with its own sections.

What can go in the report?

There are 16 sections: uptime and incidents, SSL and domain status, DNS changes, security and blacklist, content checks, visual changes, SEO health, accessibility, compliance, brand consistency, PageSpeed and Core Web Vitals, services and heartbeats, journey tests, traffic, issues caught, and upcoming renewals. You choose which appear and in what order.

How often can a report go out?

Monthly on a day of the month from 1 to 28, or weekly on a weekday, each at an hour you pick. Times are UTC, and there is no per-organisation timezone setting.

Who receives the report?

The client's portal contacts, plus up to 10 extra addresses you add to the report. You can also send the live preview to any address you type, which is the usual way to check it yourself first.

Does the report cover sites I am not monitoring?

No. Reports only ever cover sites with monitoring enabled.

Why is there a separate logo setting for email?

Email clients cannot display SVG logos. If your brand logo is an SVG it will show in the dashboard, portal and status pages but not in an inbox, so there is a second logo field used only by email.
